Sian Whitefoot wint Triumph Inspiration Award 2012

Triumph International heeft de Engelse modestudente Sian Whitefoot uitgeroepen tot winnares van de Triumph Inspiration Award (TIA) 2012 tijdens de Shanghai Fashion Week.

In totaal toonden 31 internationale deelnemers hun creaties aan de jury, bestaand uit actrice en zangeres Karen Mok, designer Uma Wang, fotograaf Wing Shya, Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, het topmodel Bonnie Chen en modeontwerper Matthew Williamson.

Deze vijfde editie stond in het teken van het thema'‘Dragons & Butterflies'. Het ontwerp Battle for Perfection van de Limburgse Kris van Loon, de Nederlandse inzending voor de TIA, ging helaas niet met een prijs naar huis. De hoofdprijs ging naar het lingerieontwerp Ecliptic Renewal van de Engelse Sian Whitefoot. Deze modestudente won een geldbedrag van €15.000, daarnaast zal het ontwerp worden vertaald naar een commerciële creatie die volgend jaar wereldwijd in de Triumph shops wordt verkocht. De tweede prijs ging naar Alla Polozenko uit Italië met haar ontwerp Dragon & Butterfly Infinity. Luca Beke uit Hongarije won met haar creatie Reborn Warrior de derde prijs.
